Purpose of the Role
The Project Manager will be FutureRange’s first dedicated full-time project management professional. This role has a dual mandate: to deliver projects effectively across the organisation and to establish a scalable Project Management Office (PMO) that supports predictable, high-quality delivery at scale.
The successful candidate will lead the planning, execution, governance, and reporting of client projects, while designing and embedding the frameworks, processes, and methodologies that will form FutureRange’s PMO. This is a pivotal operational and strategic role that will influence how projects are governed, resourced, and communicated across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery
Manage the full lifecycle of client projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality standards. Maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams, oversee scheduling and resource allocation, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies throughout each project. - PMO Development and Governance
Establish FutureRange’s project management methodology, including templates, frameworks, reporting standards, and governance processes. Build a structured approach to scoping, planning, budgeting, and change control to ensure consistency and predictability across all projects. - Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with technical teams, account managers, and the Operations Manager to ensure smooth handover from sales to delivery. Align project plans with commercial commitments and technical requirements, and support teams in meeting delivery obligations. - Client Engagement
Act as a primary point of contact for clients during project delivery. Set and manage expectations, provide timely updates, and ensure projects reflect FutureRange’s commitment to quality and professionalism. - Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes, documentation, and reporting. Contribute to lessons learned activities and help strengthen FutureRange’s overall delivery capability.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing technology projects within a managed service provider, IT consultancy, cloud, or cybersecurity environment. Strong capability in delivering multiple concurrent projects, managing cross-functional teams, and maintaining effective stakeholder communication.
- Experience with project management frameworks such as PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile is required. Familiarity with PSA tools such as Autotask is an advantage. Candidates should demonstrate strong organisational skills, commercial awareness, and an ability to introduce structure within a maturing and scaling organisation.
- A track record of supporting or establishing a PMO function, or implementing project governance processes, will be a significant advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present project information effectively to clients and the leadership team, are essential.
